Welcome to NZAEE Biennial Conference

The New Zealand Association for Environmental Education invites you to Hawke’s Bay on 19 – 22 January 2010 for “Taking the Next Steps – Te Ahu Whakamua”, the Association’s Biennial Conference.

 

We are at the mid-point in the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005 – 2014 and under the theme “Taking the Next Steps – Te Ahu Whakamua” the conference will reflect on what has been achieved since the start of the decade and explore opportunities for the remainder. The conference is an opportunity to take stock of where we are, and to explore ideas and make plans for how we head into the future.

 

Attend the “Taking the Next Steps” conference for the opportunity to meet and share knowledge and your experiences with others working in education, communities, business and government who are interested in encouraging behaviour change that will mitigate human impact on the planet.

 

The organising committee has put together a thought provoking and varied programme with keynote speakers, panel discussions, presentations, workshops, poster sessions and field trips. With a great social program and a pre-conference research symposium this conference is a must for all those involved in educating for sustainability!
