Venue & Accommodation

The NZAEE Biennial Conference “Taking the Next Steps – Te Ahu Whakamua” will take place in the North Island of New Zealand in the beautiful region of Hawke’s Bay that is renowned for its fabulous food and wine. Delegates will experience some of the many attractions that Hawke’s Bay has to offer through the conference field trips, and many will choose to extend their stay over the weekend to enjoy more of the region including:
  • Napier, the iconic Art Deco capital of New Zealand
  • Food & Wine at the many cellar doors and farmgate outlets throughout the region
  • Gannet tours at Cape Kidnappers
  • The Art Trail which leads visitors to a wide range of artists and galleries

Conference Venue

The venue for the 2010 NZAEE Biennial Conference is Lindisfarne College located on the outskirts of Hastings. This wonderful facility is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens and provides a state of the art 400 seat auditorium for the main conference sessions, as well as air-conditioned classrooms close by for break-out sessions.
 
Delegates will also be able to enjoy the on-site gym, swimming pool and tennis courts as well as the tranquility of the gardens for those inclined towards more leisurely pursuits!

Accommodation
 
A range of accommodation is available to suit all budgets, both on site at Lindisfarne College and off site at local motels. 
 

Onsite Accommodation

Lindisfarne College provides comfortable onsite accommodation for conference delegates to suit all budgets. Rates are inclusive of breakfast, and all room types have shared bathroom facilities.  

Accommodation at the College can be booked via the conference organisers at the time of registering to attend the conference.

Single Room      $100 +GST

Private Cube      $85 +GST
A private room, similar to a workplace cubicle with floor to ceiling walls, but no door.  .

Double Room     $75 +GST
Double room shared with one other delegate.

Dorm Room       $25 + GST
Bed in a dormitory shared with up to 6 people sharing a small dorm room

Any changes to accommodation bookings will incur an administrative fee of $15 plus GST per change.
